Meet the LynxxJet Team

Lynn Lloyd
LynxxJet’s chief executive is Philip “Lynn” Lloyd, 59, a graduate of Arkansas Tech. Described by his peers as the “perfect executive,” Lynn’s varied talents have led him down the road to distinguished careers in aviation and several other businesses as well. An experienced pilot and aircraft owner with over 15,000 hours as Pilot in Command, the former public accounting executive and international businessman fully understands the significant “value-added equation” of corporate aviation.

While serving as the majority stockholder in several country banks located in Arkansas, Tennessee and New Mexico, as well as a number of manufacturing companies in the United States, Germany, Italy and Argentina, it didn’t take Lynn long to discover that private air travel was essential to the successful growth and integrated operation of his companies.

During the early 1980s, Lynn acquired Heigel Aviation, an FBO in Little Rock, Arkansas and renamed it Little Rock Air Center. After the purchase, he upgraded facilities, expanded the operation’s Part 135 air taxi services and built a significant corporate aircraft service and maintenance operation. Within three years, Professional Pilot magazine had recognized the Air Center as one of the Top Ten FBOs in the country. Lynn subsequently sold the Air Center to a prominent FBO holding company. At the time of the sale, the group was operating a fleet of 19 turbine-powered aircraft, including Falcon, Diamond, Gulfstream, Lear and Citation jets as well as King Air and Cheyenne turboprops.

The Air Center was one of the pioneers in the practice of shared-ownership when it began selling block time on Falcon 10s and Diamond 1A aircraft, both of which became profitable enterprises. Lynn is also an early member of The Diamond Aviation Group, a consortium of well-known and highly-regarded aircraft dealers from across the United States, giving the group a broad spectrum of complimentary aviation resources as part of its nationwide network.

Jay Cooper

LynxxJet’s chief operating officer is an accomplished businessman in his own right. Jay C. Cooper, 35, is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Previously at Century Aviation, Jay was largely responsible for growing the company’s managed aircraft fleet from two to 10 during his five-year tenure as vice president of operations and chief operating officer. Mr. Cooper is an accomplished jet pilot with over 6,000 hours as Pilot in Command and is currently qualified in Westwind, Citation, Falcon and King Air aircraft.

Jay’s meticulous attention to detail, coupled with his terrific customer service skills has led him to the top in his field. Also serving as LynxxJet’s charter marketing and aircraft management director, Jay has been instrumental in the acquisition of both Barken and Century Aviation, the development of LynxxJet’s operations model, acquisition and development of the group’s shared-ownership Falcon program, as well as overseeing the significant expansion of the group’s managed fleet of aircraft.

Joe Morgan

LynxxJet’s director of aircraft finance, business development and partnership programs is Joseph C. Morgan, 56. A graduate of Texas Tech University, he also holds master’s degrees in science and business from the University of Texas at Austin.

Joe began his business career in the practice of public accounting and spent six years with the “big eight” firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG). Following his sojourn in the public accounting arena, Joe served as controller with a high tech-based manufacturing concern and an oil and gas exploration company.

Joe has been involved in the aviation industry since 1991, when he was engaged as the director of finance for the avionics division of a leading manufacturer of GPS-based flight management systems. In 1995, he joined a diversified, publicly-traded aviation holding company and spent the next five years working with three separate subsidiaries in the areas of customer financial services and executive management.

Over the past three years Joe has originated financing for and leased and purchased over 30 corporate turbine-powered aircraft, commercial jet engines and commercial aircraft rotable parts pools with funded amounts exceeding $150 million. Joe currently owns, operates and leases two King Airs in partnership with an affiliated company.

Robert Wallace

LynxxJet’s Chief Financial Officer is Robert B. Wallace, 46, a graduate of Texas A&M University and Certified Public Accountant who began his long career in accounting with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG).

After public accounting, Robert spent the majority of the following years as CFO/Controller for a precision sheet metal fabricator and machine shop serving the high tech industry. He gained extensive experience with computer networking, financial accounting systems and cost accounting systems. His proven abilities with systems, investment and cash management led to his recruitment as accounting manager for a group of approximately 25 separate entities owned by a high net worth individual and his family. Operations included banking and finance, aircraft management, real estate development and construction, resort properties, golf courses, ranching and other investments.

In 2000, Robert ventured back into manufacturing, purchasing a cast limestone manufacturing plant. He sold his share of the company in 2003 and joined with Lloyd, Morgan and Cooper to form LynnxJet International.
